How to Know Your Spectacle Shape & Size

You can find your frame size printed on the inside of the temple arm (the side pieces). The three numbers tell you the lens width, bridge width and temple length.

Credit Card Method
A debit or credit card

1. Take a debit or credit card

A standard card is about the width of a medium frame.

2. Stand in front of a mirror

Hold the card flat and level against your face.

3. Check the card position

Place one tip at the centre of your nose, reaching toward the eye.

Now check where the card reaches

Small face - card extends beyond the corner of the eye
Small

The card extends beyond the corner of your eye.

Medium face - card roughly touches the corner of the eye
Medium

The card roughly touches the corner of your eye.

Large face - card does not reach the corner of the eye
Large

The card does not reach the corner of your eye.
